I'd bought a piece of land with a loan from them, 50% down, showed the loans officer my plans to build a house, had all my contractor quotes (septic, well, electrical etc). I said very clearly "I don't want the land if I can't get a construction mortgage" He said "Buy the land" So I did and when I went back for a construction mtge he said "Sorry, we don't do that" So I was left with a piece of land I'd put nearly every penny into and couldn't build on it. I went to the branch manager, she just shrugged. no, I won't deal with c.u. anymore. I realize they're all different depending on the manager, but I won't deal with them anymore. Was a tough blow for a young single mother.
