her insulin which used to cost 120 dollars last year, has been reduced signifigantly to only 37 dollars.. i wonder how it came to be? could it be because healthnet is trying to be mr nice guy? all in all healthnet is a big joke. doesnt fully cover cost of hospital stay, 911 expenses and medicine coverage. but my dad refuses to switch over to AARP. lets hope that this price drop is indication of more affordable med prices this year

Well that's good news for your mom regardless of the reason for the price drop.

That's a heck of a discount.
I wonder what the reason is behind that?

Probably has something to do with the patent running ot and others becoming available. But that would just be a guess.

pharma companies are literally lining their pockets with our hard earned cash..making a killing raising prices on meds. because they know people need insulin and other meds to survive. was thinking outside the box -buying meds from across the border lolz

The biggest elephant in the room is all other countries other than the US control drug prices.
Until that is addressed, along with "for profit healthcare" and middlemen insurance companies coming between you and real healthcare (not a tax for those who can't afford it.) it will be SSDD.
There is much work to be done, this thing is as broken as it gets.

You guys are exactly right.

Any drug you need to keep you alive is going cost a fortune. Any drug that will make you an addict will be very cheap.
