I used to paint a lot in my youth. Nowadays we just come up with painting topics and lol about it, but if we actually painted everything we talk about painting it would be hilarious and we'd be banned from the internet forevermore lmao.gif

I like drawing with various combinations of pencils and colored pencils and colored pens and I like to draw optical illusions and three dimensional geometric shapes sometimes combining architecture and nature and I prefer to draw most comfortably upon regular typing/computer printer sized sheets of white paper roughly 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches because basically thats the format I like the most although I think its impossible to draw three sides of anything (like a cube) upon a two dimensional surface but the "illusional perspective" of that is still there to be seen...

I have accumulated around 200 drawings saved within an easy to transport and easy to look at three ring binder with each drawing protected inside a top loading acid free clear plastic folder...

Many of my drawings have taken me a few hours a day for a few days and sometimes even a few hours a day for a few weeks just to finish one...

But I seem to go through relatively long stretches of time where and when I draw a lot every day and then sometimes not at all and I think thats the same for most artists whatever their craft as we need to occasionally regenerate our ideas and our imaginations (*-*)

I think the one with the frame is the ugliest but that's the one that brings out the strongest feeling for me too.

Well ,,,,

I painted my toes
even painted my nose
when it got so bad ,
I even painted
my elbows

I painted till
I thought I'd drop
then painted again
cause I could not stop

Painted til I hit the floor
then rose to my feet
and painted some more
painted a sign upon the door
I'll paint your ass
if you'll paint my feet

I painted the town
but not in red
painted it brown
to match my shed

painted my toilet
painted itbrown
so no one could tell
whether i flushed it down
all the way to hell

I painted me
would have painted you
but ran out of paint
now what do I do ?
