I think it has to do with head injuries, which kids seem to be unable to avoid.

The schools have kids 8 hours, the parents the other 16 hours...where does most of the responsibilities really lie?

The schools do more than their part in teaching kids about good nutrition.

The children are asleep at least 8 of those 16 hours. The child in school is in one room with constant adult supervision and instruction.

No doubt the child's diet at home is almost as bad as the lunches at school.

Have you seen the crap schools provide for lunch? No doubt if it were fed to 3 generations of rats, the rats would fail to reproduce.

Quote:As complaints have mounted, one tone deaf Obama administration official was quoted as saying: "If they are still hungry, it's that they are not eating all the food that's being offered." This was referring to reports some hungry students were not eating the fruits and vegetables in their lunches.

The kids have a personal responsibility as well, but it looks like things have not changed much...they still don't want to eat their veggies nor fruit.

These tax paid teachers and school officials...

Sitting around thinking of idiotic reasons to ban everything and anything they feel like banning...

F##k em...

I would keep doing cartwheels...

And after I was punished I would keep doing them...

I'd get every kid on the school playground all doing cartwheels simultaneously...

What are they gonna do suspend every kid in the whole school?

Not...no way!
