I was just thinking about changing up my diet to a higher vegan ratio this morning and choosing fish and seafood with a little bit of beef, over pork and chicken. Ummm, lox and cream cheese on a bagel for brekkie. I'll just have to keep a vigilant eye as to fish populations.

I've also been buying more organic veggies. I think if I cut down on portion size that will cover any extra costs associated with buying organic. [/quote]

I think that could work, US. Just remember to consume enough fats (the good ones) to keep the family satiated. Fats won't make you fat, but refined carbs will.

This smoked whitefish salad was so divine I had to try it with smoked salmon too. It was absolutely amazing!

(And homemade mayo of course)

Thanks for the whitefish salad recipe Octo, it looks good. I'm somewhat leery of homemade mayo just because of the raw eggs. 13.gif
