It is quite beautiful, especially in the summer.

But funny you should post that. I was just reading this earlier. One concert only and it's today! beercheer.gif

Juilliard, Sibelius Academy join forces to explore contemporary music

The two music schools’ collaboration has so far been so harmonious that the Juilliard now wants to deepen the partnership in conjunction with the upcoming 150th anniversary of the birth of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. Their joint orchestra makes its only Finnish appearance in Helsinki on Saturday.

Quote:Tourists spent more than four billion euros in Finland last year, which equates to eight percent of the country’s exports. The sector is an important part of the economy, and it has several strengths as a destination. Friendly Finns, a secure environment and beautiful architecture are some of the main attractions.

”The churches, the cathedrals,” said Canadian Robert Kelly on one of the city’s numerous sightseeing buses. ”My granddaughter has gone shopping, the shopping she’s here for. For me I just like roaming around and looking at the beautiful scenery.”

yup.gif Yeah, everybody under 55 speaks fluent English. Actually I'd recommend Helsinki as a vacation spot. It's very unlike other European cities, the architecture is stunning!
We also have some of the best fishing in the world, and some really quiet get away from it all locations.
