At least 40 U.S. veterans have died waiting for medical appointments at Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care system — including many placed on a secret waiting list.

The list was part of a complex cost-cutting scheme set up by Veterans Affairs managers in Phoenix aiming to hide the fact that between 1,400 and 1,600 sick veterans were forced to wait up to 21 months to see a doctor, according to whistle-blowing retired top VA doctor and high-level sources.

Internal emails reveal managers at Arizona’s VA hospital knew about the practice and even condoned it.

I've heard many heart breaking stories of VA. These guys are just disposables once they aren't fighting for Exxon or Soros or the MIC.

the hosp they had here for years was old and literally falling apart..and it was difficult to get doctors. my dad was seeing different doctors everytime he went..and they all had different opinions and were indecisive as to course of treatment so they just thru him on some meds that were wrong ..he had times he had to deal with them for he was medically discharged from the service .

I hate going to the VA. but its the only medical coverage I have. Its a revolving door, they get you in and out as quick as possible because the patient load is so large.

I cant understand a word most of the Doctors say because most of them are from the Middle East. The Nurses I have no complaints about they work themselves ragged.

The Doctors are quick to write you a prescription and send you on your way. Often times not even checking what else your on and if the Meds are conflicting.

Going to the VA is an awakening, if you have never visited one then you should. The first thing you will encounter is the Lobby and outside grounds full of Homeless Veterans that have nowhere else to go. They go there to get free prescriptions, then they go behind the building and sell them so they will have money to eat.

The VA has a Bus Chit program, They will give a Veteran a free one way bus ticket to where they want to go, This is how they get rid of the work load and pass it from VA to VA

I wish someone would do a study on life expectancy of Veterans after they start getting VA treatments. Many of the people I met at the VA died within a few months. I think we would see some shocking results.

Bad situation.

It's better here but I can't vouch for how much. My b-i-l fought them for years for hearing aids, they claimed his 20 years as gunnery sgt had nothing to do with his hearing loss.
