shelter in place

Next month begins my 10th year of being retired.
I can honestly say that this lockdown-shelter-in-place has not affected me very much at all.
I go to the home improvement store and the supermarket, and I have never had a need for shopping malls or restaurants.
Now, more than at the beginning, I believe the politicians are manipulating this control they have found, and things will probably never be the same.

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.

This is my third year of being retired but due to health reasons it was forced upon me. I have always been independent through work and study and this shelter in place with forced retirement is just not who I am. So, I applied for a job but now with this COVID19 not going away any time soon, I have to make an important decision whether to work or to stay away from social gatherings (work) due to underlying health issues. I am leaning more towards taking the job if offered to me and protecting myself as much as I can. I am just not a stay at home person. But I never shopped online before, but now I love the convenience and so much choice out there.

Yeah it's definitely changed shopping habits over here too and I don't think it's going back to how it was before covid. We're doing fine here though and there's not been any new cases in over a month. Doesn't mean it's anywhere close to over... damned.gif
