TAMPA (CBS Tampa) – “The Beast” is coming! That’s the nickname astronomers have given to an asteroid that will nearly sideswipe Earth this Sunday, reports Space.com.

Near-Earth asteroid 2014 HQ124 will be a mere 777,000 miles at its closest approach to our planet, that’s just over 3 times the distance from the Earth to the moon; a close shave by cosmic standards.http://tampa.cbslocal.com/2014/06/06/bea...ut-a-city/:damned:

Gee like wtf couldnt they have called this thing the kitty or the bunny or something and not the beast thus flipping out millions of people already on edge already filled with too much fear and paranoia?!

I cant believe we've lasted this long throughout the 1500s and 1600s and 1700s and 1800s and 1900s and our constant warfare against each other without being annihilated by some unforeseen cosmic intruder of unknown origins perhaps hurled against us from the super sized sling shots of gigantic alien children playing upon the surface of another world?! or fired against us by the massive weapon shot from some huge alien mother spaceship?!

If the Tunguska event object of 1908 had impacted upon earth just a few hours earlier along the same longitude it would have probably annihilated Paris or Moscow and perhaps prevented the evil slaughter of world war one or maybe it would have unleashed that terrible conflict even earlier?! like the germans may have been like hey wtf paris or moscow is already destroyed lets march the f##k in and take over?! > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunguska_event
