A bit before my time but it's so charming and unique!
I must confess I grew up with the Rankin Bass Rudolph and we still watch it every Christmas.
Octo had never seen it before I moved here, but it turned into tradition.
The Russians were quite skilled at this stop motion.
I'm sure she'll throw up a video when she gets home.

No I never saw any of those stop motion animations. Not really any American versions of the craft at all. I grew up with the Eastern Europe and Russian variety and I loved them.

I love this stuff, and I think everybody grew up with Rudolph.

Oh gawd I had a nightmare after watching that abominable snowman the first time in Rudolph. I dreamed it was Mason, our dog, and I had to kill him because we couldn't take him with us on our trip somewhere. I didn't kill him but I broke his jaw. I woke up crying anon.gif

they still play rudolph at christmas time on tv here.
frosty too.

that land of broken toys made me super sad when i was a kid.
