Brooklyn eatery offering $100 gold-topped doughnut
NEW YORK, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- New York foodies who find themselves with spare spending cash are being offered a particularly pricey pastry: a $100 doughnut covered in 24-karat gold flakes.
The Manila Social Club, a Brooklyn eatery owned by Filipino brothers Bjorn De La Cruz and Samuel Ware, unveiled The Golden Cristal Ube Donut in an Instagram post that gave the public a first look at the confection, as well as revealing its $100 price tag.
