What herbs do you add...this time I added garlic, parsley and oregano, but still they are still just a tad bland?

I use Sea Salt, Fresh Cracked Pepper, Oregano, Sage and Some fresh Rosemary from our Bush.

When I boil the water to parboil my cabbage I toss a few cloves of garlic in it.

We just got back from getting the stuff to make these tomorrow, everyone is looking forward to it.

Opps almost forgot to add, I use Long grain rice, and cook it about half done before I assemble my Rolls.

I'll try the garlic in the water, but rosemary and sage are way too strong for me. I'll need to think on this, but my son ate some of my cabbage rolls and said he did not find them bland...so, maybe it's me.

Just made a mixed seafood chowder for my son and I (we're the only ones that like seafood chowder dunno.gif) ... I hope he's really hungry later because it is a dutch oven full.

I raided my neighbor's garden last night, they split up and the house is abandoned. No sense letting all those veggies just rot, besides, she gave me permission BaconDance.gif

Cooking Disaster 342

Got my Cabbage rolls all together, went to Preheat the Oven and .. the Element has burned out.

Quick thinking: I have a barrel smoker with a offset firebox, Three oak logs and a few matches I had a oven.

Covered the pans (2) with foil and in they went. Ill let you know how this comes out.

Meanwhile in Georgia:

Located a new element via Interwebs $27.35 and it should arrive Wednesday. Until then its BBQ time.

Lol it was 31 degrees here this morning.

They came out real good considering I had no way to control the heat. We had company over too, But not one cabbage roll is left, so that's a good thing. I didn't dare attempt the Carrot cake I was planning for desert. But it was tempting.

That great because there's nothing like tasty cabbage rolls when you are in the mood for 'em.

Next, I need to research good recipes for strawberry shortcake and apple crisp.

I got the grill going again today, Using it to 'Bake' a ham I figured we can eat left overs for a day or so until our stove parts come in.

Ham
Mashed potato's
Cole slaw.
