Everyone I know likes rutabaga...well, with butter and salt, that is. cheers.gif

While I was looking for a good Yorkshire pudding recipe, I found this...the science of making your perfect chocolate chip cookie. I think I'd go for 1/2 butter 1/2 shortening. bread flour with both baking soda and powder, and add walnut pieces. :yum:

I think I'll use this recipe, so simple. Now I'll have to save my bacon grease and buy fine salt, because I only have coarse sea salt.

Thanks Octo, because my daughter may have to go gluten-free, depending on her medical tests (not yet in). So your recipe above would work very well and we both love almonds (almondy taste).

If that is the case you should definitely save the link to that site. There are some 70 other proteins in wheat besides gluten that they don't test for, so going grain free is something I'd recommend everyone.
