I'm reading a recipe here that calls for even higher heat, 230C/fan 210C/gas and sunflower oil.

The secret to getting gloriously puffed-up Yorkshires is to have the fat sizzling hot – and don't open the oven door!

I had to google Yorkshire puddings anon.gif I know them by name only.

I should too, it's a favorite meal in my house. But I hate shopping so I probably won't rofl.gif

I too hate shopping during this time of year because it's crazy out there, but I have to buy the roast beast and the kitchen store is right next door.

Oh dear frikking god, I went shopping today puke.gif

I am so glad to be home...crazies out there. sheep.gif

So my daughter came along with me to shop and she wanted to buy me a Christmas gift of chocolates, but I made her buy me a popover pan instead. Well, it's what I really wanted - at that moment, that is.

A popover pan is different from a muffin pan, in that, the indentations are slimmer and longer, so my Yorkshire Puddings should end up being about 6-8 inches tall.

patpat.gif Octo, US. Shopping is such a pain.

I got off early so went downtown for stuff, wasn't bad at all. Busiest place was the liquor store and that was quick even. Bought amaretto for coffee. Found beef wieners $1.49/lb so bought a box of them for dog treats. Way better for them than the chemical crap (mostly made in China) that gets sold for dog treats. And about 1/4 the cost. woohoo.gif now I'm off until Jan 5 (unless I get called in rofl.gif )

Ya know... downtown isn't busy at all since walmart opened gaah.gif

Hey with Yorkies that deep you could absolutely use them as a bra. Get creative. I know you are.

I did seafood and fettuccine Alfredo with garlic bread and Cesar salad, was good!

But now I'm making turkey noodle soup and need an opinion.

Would you put creamed corn in turkey soup?
