As for Octo not eating potatoes blink.gif, but I can't think of a starchy replacement and the buckwheat flavour with the other shepherd's pie ingredients, probably wouldn't appeal to too many people.

It's ok, I think I'll live chuckle.gif

There's a dish involving mashed taters and ground beef around here that I don't like one bit.

And it's the starchy I'm avoiding so no need for replacements chuckle.gif

yes. too sweetish i agree.

carrots dont belong in it.

Carrots are so full of vitamins, so they will continue to go in along with other sweet veggies, like sweet peas. I always add as many veggies as possible.

well.. i like peas in it. oh and corn is great in it.
but you could just have carrots on the side..

Just Plain Nuts.

I made the best potato salad Saturday night, threw in a tbsp of red cider vinegar. I do that with coleslaw but thought what the heck, and the flavor... drool.gif really good.

Is red cider vinegar the same as apple cider vinegar...or does it have something to do with wine?

Last year the salmon fishing was shut down because of Imperial Metals tailings pond, no one got salmon. Don't know what'll happen this year.

That mine may shut down altogether, they keep screwing up. Every time inspectors go out the mine has another infraction or non-compliance. I guess they think they can get away with whatever they want.

It seems they can get away with a lot...the government just depends too much on Canada's resources and they just aren't forward-thinking to make money in any other area - except raising our taxes, that is.
