Yeah, I was thinking cornbread for sure, and either baked beans or corn cobs.

Hi Octo, do you have any good herbal mixture recipes for sprinkling on the corn cobs?

Not really, JR is the serial griller in this household and fresh corn isn't really available here so I don't know anything. I'm sure Shadow knows.

I might try one or more of these corn on the cob toppings:

I like the basil/parmesan idea, but I also like the sesame seed and hoisin glaze recipe too - but I might change that to sesame, maple syrup, soya sauce and lime glaze, because my cornbread will be a maple glazed cornbread.

Oh yes, I love salt and butter too, and I will have that available too, because some of the older folks like it plain and simple, no weird foreign flavours for them, such a hoisin. OMG Hoisin!
