It's a great butterfly season. I haven't seen this many in years!

This is in Finland just to clarify. I have also seen plenty of bumble bees. Our berry yields look above average and I see an abundance of apples, pears and plums ripening so there's been plenty of pollinators around despite the cold spring.

I grow to love and appreciate this place more each year. Yes, even the cold and darkness.

I should take photos. The butterflies have fave flowers. They absolutely love oregano. My sister has plenty of it in her yard, I have to go there for a butterfly photo op.

Butterflies landing on you means transformation. Especially the white ones. They are always such a blessing when you see them..

Ill bet finland air quality is better than ours. We still have wild fires choking the skies, not good respitory-wise. Thx to covid masks

My daughter was driving the car with me in it one day and she almost ran over a Monarch butterfly, well I freaked out and she swerved. Why the hell do the Monarch butterflies rest on roads?

Power without abuse loses it's charm.

We don't have Monarchs here, but we do have Papilio machaon, the Old World swallowtail although they're rare.

First time I ever saw one as a kid I was full of amazement, I had never seen a larger butterfly. They are beautiful.
