By the amount and size of rocks thrown on the ice I can tell it's fairly thick. I hear they're skating down by the coast already, which is about a mile and a half from my house.

Be careful trying to skate on the ice.
I'm not going to skate on the ice, especially the river. I'm not stupid. 
I took that photo of the frozen river at 12:38 pm. See how low the sun is midday? 
Surprisingly ppl here that I know suffer from SAD mainly in the spring
Now my Feet feel Cold.
