A Cat?

Maybe make a Fake Cat, put it on a remote control car and drive it round and round the yard.

if it does scare the birdies, maybe it'll entertain them enough that they steal money to give you.

Sounds like a sweet bird to me.

I recall spotting them in the UK but always near the beach areas. Nesting in town seems a bit off.
