Cool! But of course that diet depended on your geographic location. Over here it would have been fish, or meat and roasted root vegetables.
I spent some time in old viking country and arranged food for middle age week. It was roast lamb all day and root veggies. Delicious! I'd have that every day along with all the berries around
I imagine up here there would have been a lot of moose meat involved. Which is delicious!!!
I prefer fish to anything else, I do a bit of sea fishing every now and then, freshly caught fish is amazing. Saying that I picked up a pheasant that had been hit by a car last week, once prepped and cooked that tasted better than anything you could buy in the shops. It tastes a bit like a mix between Turkey and Chicken.
I've always wanted to try ice fishing, sounds like you're in the right place for that @Octo
Never had Moose, I imagine it is very yummy though.

I would have to kill a kangaroo or a snake.
living the dream.

You'd do great throwing spears at kangaroos
I can see our diets have changed dramatically in the last 20-30 years here in the states. 20 years ago i scarfed down on fast foods and tons of junk food. I became overweight but didnt care. Ate very little fiber, vegs, fruits. Unlike now...i try eat vegan foods. Gluten free, sugar free, high fiber etc. My weight is around 135. Compared to 20 years ago, at 165. I eat a salad daily. When cooking i use vegetable cooking spray instead of oil. Im really into a healthy lifestyle. But i do like to eat snacks, fast foods sometimes but all in moderation
I heard there are signs on Australian roads saying, 'Koala Bears Drive Slowly'
It's kind of obvious though cuz there legs aren't long enough to reach the pedals!
